At Pack and Save  Moving Company our movers strive to give you a stress-free moving day. To aid in that effort; we prepared some frequently asked questions about moving for you. These are some of the most common questions we get asked on a regular basis.

We want to make your experience with us a peaceful one by answering a few FAQs upfront.


Are we a licensed mover?

Yes, Pack and Save Moving Company is licensed by the state of Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. We are also registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Are my things insured?

Yes, we carry the standard coverage that is required by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. Additional insurance can be purchased at your expense.

Do we charge by the item or by the hour?

We offer Flat Rates and Hourly Rates. If you would prefer a flat rate, submit the item details of your move. If you would like to consider an hourly rate, or if you are unsure, call now and an experienced moving representative will assist you. Or schedule a walk-through.

 

Do items have to be disassembled?

Yes. The movers will dissemble and reassemble an item. Please request this when scheduling your move. If selecting your move hourly, you can save money by choosing to disassemble and reassemble yourself. Our movers are experienced with many types of furniture requiring this service and we prefer to disassemble if we are going reassemble; this way we know where all parts are and go.

Can I leave items in dresser drawers?

Yes, but please remove all breakables. Remove all items out of armoires and dressers with non-secured doors.

Do we offer discounts?

Yes, Pack and Save Moving Company offers a Senior Citizens discount.

How much does Pack and Save Moving company cost?

Everyone’s move is different. Whether you’re moving from a third-floor apartment, home, office or just load or unload truck/pod; we’re confident we can serve you. However, we need complete information. Therefore, we prefer to speak to you by phone or meet you for a walk-through or email us details about your move in order to give you a fair and accurate quote.

Do we sell boxes?

Yes, we sell quality boxes and packing supplies.

Is tipping standard?

Although gratuity is very much appreciated but it is not required.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Cash and all major Credit Cards. There is a 4% charge on credit card / debit card transactions.

 

Can the movers call me prior to arrival?

Yes. The office or the moving crew will call 30 minutes prior to arrival at your specified location.

 

Do hanging clothes need to be boxed?

Yes. All items that can be boxed must be boxed including but not limited to clothes, pictures, lamps, and electronics. All boxes must be sealed on the top and bottom.

What items will not be taken?

 Includes flammables, guns, unboxed items and anything that cannot safely be handled by a two-man team.

Do we load or unload rental trucks?

Yes. Our movers will work with you to cater to your budget and moving needs.

Are there hidden costs?

No. If you are using our flat rate; that’s the set price. If you are going with the hourly rate: clock starts when we arrive and you sign the invoice of the time we arrived and clock stops when we are completely done, you look inside our truck to make sure all is clear and sign the invoice with ending time. You pay the total hours we worked. All other charges/fees will be communicated to you during scheduling which will be on the invoice.
